WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE STUCK AT HOME

To say the least, there's a lot going on in the world right now. I'm not a health expert, so I'm not going to sit here and tell you what to do. I'll give you a few tips that everyone hopefully already knows, but whether you want to stay home for the next few weeks or go to the club is totally up to you. For those of us that are trying to stay home as much as possible, here's a few things you can do to keep yourself busy/from going totally stir crazy.

TIPS YOU HOPEFULLY ALREADY KNOW

WASH YOUR HANDS!

○ with warm-hot water and soap, for at least thirty seconds

○ ALSO, wash or wipe down things you touch constantly, such as: phone, computer, keys, door knobs and locks, steering wheel, gear shift, car door handles and lock buttons, turn signal and wiper controls

WASH YOUR CLOTHES AND BEDDING

○ while your bedding may not have been at the grocery store with you, it's easy to forget to wash your hands or clothes before touching your bed. at the very least, make sure you change your pillow cases frequently (you already should, apparently, for the sake of healthy skin)

DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE

○ I'm guilty of touching my face constantly, so this has been hard for me. But it's been proven that touching your face is not only bad for your skin, it's also an easy way to contract many illnesses (including the coronavirus). If you've touched something that still has the virus on it, then proceed to touch your mouth, nose, or even rub your eye, you can get sick.

○ If you have them, wear your glasses to deter you from touching your eyes; if you wear contacts, make sure you wash your hands really well before taking them out at the end of the day.

WHAT TO DO WHILE YOU'RE STUCK AT HOME

○ try new recipes (and freeze any leftovers)

○ SPRING CLEAN! it's that time of year anyways, so why not use this time to deep clean and de-clutter your house? (I'll do another blog post on spring cleaning sometime soon)

○ re-arrange all the furniture in your house

○ change over your winter closet to your spring closet (Canadians know what I mean)

○ clean your car! I know the inside of my Jeep is flipping filthy from the winter

○ yoga, stretches, home workouts, play in your yard, go for a walk

○ journal, draw, paint, or some other kind of art or craft you've been meaning to try

○ clean your makeup brushes

○ clean out your fridge / freezer

○ clean your garage

○ binge a show or movie series (I'll list my faves at the end of this post)

○ melt your brain by playing hours of The Simpsons or Hogwarts Mystery (10/10 recommend both but try not to get addicted)

○ read!
