As I mentioned on my Instagram (and I'll probably copy and paste this for each blog post I do), I was going to do a regular "all my favourites from the year" post, but I figured, with the end of the decade, why not just include anything I can think of? Also, one blog post for all of it would've been miles and miles long. So, this what I'm doing instead.

Obviously, this post is only movies, shows, and books. I was going to including music in this, too, but then it would've been exponentially long, so I'll make a third and final post just for music.

I tried to make this as organized as possible, but it's probably just a mess so I'm sorry.

Okay, let's go!

I figured I would just organize this section by year and alphabetically; and, of course, this is only movies I can remember seeing and enjoying. Any movie with a * beside it is one of my all-time favourites.

If you see some that are included in a series (IT, Hunger Games, etc.) but don't see the full series listed, it's because I'm terrible and haven't finished them yet so just mind your business, okay? I'm sorry I'm like this.

2019 (I genuinely don't think I watched that many 2019-released movies - most of the movies I saw in 2019 were from 2018 or 2017, or I just watched shows)

Even though I was genuinely so scared the whole time, it was really really good and I recommend it, even if you're a big baby like me)

I didn't know how to do this section at all, so I thought I would just make a list of every show from the 2010s (alphabetically) that I personally watched and enjoyed enough to remember. Again, anything with an * is one of my all-time favourites (meaning, I could watch it over and over and honestly, probably do).

Criminal Minds

The Office*

The Vampire Diaries*

And, of course, the honourable mentions: childhood edition (while we're here, we might as well go all-out also Disney+ also 2000's nostalgia etc etc. AKA how could I not include these classics?):

This is just any book I can remember reading and enjoying in the last ten years, whether it was published in the 2010s or prior. I know I read a lot of YA books, hence the Sarah Dessen and John Green, and I know I'm forgetting a LOT but this is really all I could remember off the top of my head. I also did as much googling as possible to try and remember some but this is all I could come up with. And as with everything else, anything with an * is an all-time favourite.

A Series of Unfortunate Events series*, Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler)

Along for the Ride, Sarah Dessen

The Chronicles of Narnia series*, C.S. Lewis

The Fault in Our Stars, John Green

Gemma Doyle trilogy, Libba Bray

The Giver, Lois Lowery (we had to read this in high school but honestly, I enjoyed it)

Harry Potter series*, JK Rowling (obviously this is going to be included no matter when it was published, it's pretty much the only thing I read once a year)

The Hunger Games trilogy, Suzanne Collins

It's Kind of a Funny Story, Ned Vizzini

Kissed by an Angel, Elizabeth Chandler (I don't remember much about this book other than that I enjoyed it and also bawled my eyes out so that's ... good?)

The Lovely Bones, Alice Sebold

Paper Towns, John Green

Perks of Being a Wallflower*, Stephen Chbosky

This Lullaby, Sarah Dessen

The Truth About Forever, Sarah Dessen

Tithe, Holly Black

Twilight series, Stephanie Meyer (no comment)

Water for Elephants*, Sara Gruen

Will Grayson, Will Grayson, John Green

And that's it for this blog post! Up next: music.
