MY BEAUTY FAVOURITES
As I mentioned on my Instagram (and I'll probably copy and paste this for each blog post I do), I was going to do a regular "all my favourites from the year" post, but I figured, with the end of the decade, why not just include anything I can think of? Also, one blog post would've been miles long. So, that's what I'm doing.
This post is (obviously) all of my skincare, makeup, and haircare favourites I've tried over the last year (or more) that I love and consistently reach for.
✧ Brands marked with an * are cruelty-free and/or vegan.
✧ Most of these products are from Sephora, but if they aren't, I'll tell you where I got them or where they're available (if it isn't obvious ex. The Body Shop)
✧ Nothing is sponsored.
SKINCARE
Tarte*
✧ mermaid skin hyaluronic H2O serum
✧ drink of H2O hydrating boost moisturizer
✧ knockout tingle treatment toner
✧ blemish bully spot acne spot treatment
The Body Shop*
✧ Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream
✧ Vitamin E Hydrating Face Mist
✧ Seaweed Mattifying Moisture lotion SPF 15 (definitely NOT mattifying but I still like it)
MILK MAKEUP* (Sephora)
✧ Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask
✧ Watermelon Brightening Face Mask
Olehenriksen* (Sephora)
La Neige (Sephora)
✧ Lip Sleeping Mask (the link is for the grapefruit flavour which is my current fave, but I've also tried the original flavour and it's really nice, too)
Lush*
Peter Thomas Roth (Sephora)
✧ Acne Spot and Area Treatment (I tried this because Tarte occasionally pulls the Blemish Bully from shelves and brings it back, and my skin was FREAKING out during a hormonal moment, sooo I needed something. I do like this a lot because it does its job VERY well, but you have to be very careful not to overuse it because it will dry your skin out pretty bad, depending on your skin type.)
MAKEUP
I don't try out a lot of new makeup, because once I find something that I like and that works for me, I stick to it for a long time. Here are all of the products I reach for over and over.
✧ Brands marked with an * are cruelty-free and/or vegan.
✧ Most of these products are from Sephora, but if they aren't, I'll tell you where I got them or where they're available. (Tarte is, of course, also available via tarte.com and some of their products are at Ulta, too)
Primer
Tarte SEA Quench Hydrating Primer*
Foundation
Beautyblender Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation*
Concealer
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer* (of course)
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer*
Powder
COVERFX Perfect Setting Powder*
Bronzer
Blush
Highlight
MILK Highlighter Mini in Lit (champagne pearl)*
Setting spray
Urban Decay All Nighter Pollution Protection* (I've also tried the regular All Nighter and I like that, too)
Mascara
Milani Highly Rated 10-in-1 Volume Mascara* (Walmart, Target)
Brows
Elf Instant Lift Brow Pencil* (Walmart, Target)
MILK MAKEUP KUSH Clear Brow Gel*
Tools
Tarte Smoothie Blender Foundation Brush*
Tarte Application Mitt* (I don't self-tan anymore, but this is the BEST mitt I've tried - it doesn't absorb the product nearly as much as other mitts I've tired. I have like 5 of these)
HAIR
Cake The Posh Wash Sulfate Free Swirl Shampoo* (Walmart, Shopper's)
Cake Cream Rinse Conditioner* (Walmart, Shopper's)
AMIKA Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo* (Sephora)
Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask* (I've seriously had the same tub for ONE YEAR; available at Ulta or the Eva NYC website)
Moroccanoil Treatment* (Sephora)
Moroccanoil Protect & Prevent Spray* (Sephora)
Marc Anthony 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner (Walmart, Shopper's)
I don't know how to end this post but yeah ... I think that's it. Stay tuned for more favourites posts over the next few weeks. I may not post another until the new year so bear with me.
Happy holidays!
