MY CURRENT FAVOURITE SKIN, BODY, AND HAIRCARE PRODUCTS
Well hey there! Long time no see (or read, I guess). I kind of gave up on this blog for the last uh ... year, or so, but can you really blame me? Anyways, I've decided to give it another go! Wish me luck!
Today I wanted to share all of my current favourite skin, body, and haircare products simply because I haven't in a while, and I've been loving everything I'm using. I do have a "shop my skincare faves" section on my homepage, but I wanted to make a master post of all the products I use, including body and hair products.
As I've written about in previous posts, I really try to make sure my products are cruelty-free because it's something that matters to me. I'm not perfect and don't claim to be, (I use a men's, definitely not cruelty-free deoderant) but I think I've just about nailed it in terms of my beauty/skincare regime. There's a ton of resources out there for finding out if a brand is cruelty-free or not (my favourites are Cruelty Free Kitty and Ethical Elephant) or if you're at the store looking at products, just check the packaging for a Leaping Bunny symbol.
I don't have any wise words or anything, so let's just get into it!
cleanser: tarte SEA Deep Dive Cleansing Gel
lactic acid: The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA
eye cream: belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb
moisturizer: The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisturizer moisturizer: tarte SEA drink of H2O hydrating boost moisturizer
lip scrub: Lush Cherry Lip Scrub
scrubber: tarte cleansing cutie scrubber
lip mask: LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask (grapefruit)
acne dots: Peace Out Salicylic Acid Acne Healing Dots
(I've used both scents recently and they're both so good - method has amazing smelling body washes in their method body and method men* lines) *this one is my fave men's body wash scent
hand soap: method sea minerals gel hand wash
(while I'm raving about method body products, I figured I'd include the hand soap I have at every sink in our house - also such a good, refreshing scent)
body lotion: The Body Shop Vitamin E Body Butter
purple shampoo: amika bust your brass cool blonde shampoo
(I usually get this from Sephora but couldn't find it on their website. I've only tried 2 purple shampoos, this being one of them, and it doesn't feel drying at all - it actually makes my hair feel silky; beware, the fragrance can be overwhelming if you're bothered by fragrance, otherwise, it's a very nice scent)
conditioner: Cake The Soft Serve Cream Rinse Conditioner
mask: regis designline Olive Oil Hair Masque (I couldn't really find a link for this, it's pretty old)
leave-in conditioner: Moroccanoil All in One Leave-In Conditioner
oil: Moroccanoil Treatment Mini (pricey but a little goes a long way)
curl cream: Living Proof Curl Definer Conditioning Cream
curl cream: Verb Curl Cream
dry shampoo: amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (I rarely use dry shampoo but when I do, I usually go for this because it smells AMAZING - it does leave a white residue*, so beware)
*dry shampoo: Marc Anthony Clear Dry Shampoo
if you're worried about your dry shampoo leaving that white residue, definitely check this product out. I've used it in the past (I've used the regular clear one, I haven't tried the coconut one) and it's honestly amazing - zero white residue! they have the travel size or full size at walmart; but keep in mind, marc anthony is not a certified cruelty-free brand - while they do have some vegan products, some of their products contain silk and collagen
eyebrows: NYX Precision Brow Pencil (I have the colour Blonde)
eyebrow gel: MILK MAKEUP KUSH Clear Brow Gel
bottom lases: COVERGIRL Easy Breezy Brow Setting Gel
lip care: Blistex Lip Medex (Blistex is not cruelty-free, but this product was a serious life savers during the winter and I'ms till using it now. we have 3 in the house and 1 in the Jeep, honestly)
lip care: NIVEA Sun Lip Care with SPF 30 (also not cruelty-free)
Since I've more or less been at home or wearing a mask for over a year now, I've had no use for anything other than brow and lash products. I recently did a huge clear out of all my makeup and literally only have lash, brow, and lip products left! So, this is all I use, if I ever even decide to do this much.
And that's it! Thanks for reading and hopefully I'll be back soon with some more content!
